One of the first questions couples ask after booking their venue is, “How many hours of wedding photography coverage do we actually need?” The answer isn’t always as straightforward as guest count or venue size. It depends on how you want your celebration to look and the moments that matter most to you.

As a Baltimore wedding photographer, I believe you should be able to feel all of the emotions of your day with vibrant clarity, both on your wedding day and in the years that follow. Six Hours of Wedding Photography Coverage

Six hours is often the perfect fit for intimate weddings, micro weddings, or couples who don’t need every part of the day documented. Rather than covering your entire wedding from start to finish, six hours allows us to focus on the moments that matter most. Many couples who choose this collection begin coverage shortly before the ceremony and continue through family portraits, couple portraits, dinner, toasts, and the first dances. 

If you’re planning a smaller celebration or simply don’t feel the need for full-day coverage, six hours often provides the perfect balance while still telling the story of your wedding day.

Eight Hours of Wedding Photography Coverage

Eight hours is my most popular collection because it fits the flow of many traditional wedding days. For most couples, this timeline includes getting ready, your ceremony, family portraits, cocktail hour, reception details, toasts, dances, cake cutting, and plenty of time on the dance floor. It captures the excitement of the morning while allowing enough time to document the celebration as it unfolds into the evening.

This collection also includes a second photographer, allowing us to capture multiple perspectives throughout the day. While I’m documenting one moment, your second photographer may be capturing another, creating a more complete story of your wedding.

If you’re planning a full wedding day but don’t necessarily need coverage until the very end of the reception, eight hours is often the perfect choice.

Ten Hours of Wedding Photography Coverage

For couples who want every chapter of their wedding day documented, ten hours offers the most comprehensive coverage. This collection allows us to photograph everything from getting ready through your final dance or grand exit without feeling rushed. It also provides additional flexibility throughout the day, whether you’re traveling between locations, planning a longer ceremony, or simply want more breathing room in your timeline.

With two photographers documenting your day, we’ll capture both the defining moments and the moments you didn’t even know were happening. The hugs between family members, the reactions during speeches, and the joyful moments happening across the room all become part of your wedding story.

If you’re planning a larger celebration or simply want the freedom of knowing we won’t be watching the clock, ten hours is an excellent option.
